Notice of Non-Discrimination
The Richmond County School System does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability or age in its programs and activities for students.  The following persons have been designated to investigate any complaint communicated to the Board of Education alleging non-compliance of non-discrimination policies regarding student activities.



Freedom Park School Mission

At Freedom Park our mission is to work together to create a safe and nurturing environment where all students are challenged to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.

 Registration for 2015-2016 ~ Pre-K-8th Grades ~
 August 4, 2015~ 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Freedom Park students must register each school year. Students must reside on Fort Gordon to attend Freedom Park School.    Registration is for Pre-K students already accepted into the Pre-K program through the Lottery.  Parents who registered Kindergarten students during early registration at the school do not need to register the student again.  If your child attended FPS last year and you registered online you will need to provide proof of residence (current lease agreement) to complete the registration process.  Please bring the required document to the school August 4 during on-site registration.  


School Council Members Needed!

The required School Council members consist of: 
 1) the Principal,
 2) two certified teachers elected by the teachers,
 3) four parents and two of them must be businesspersons.

What Does A School Council Do?

Your School Council is a link to the community and should provide recommendations on the following:

 School board policies

 School improvement plans

 Curriculum and assessments

 Development of the school’s profile

 School budget priorities

 Communication strategies

 Methods of involving parents

 Extracurricular activities

 Any other appropriate topic involving student achievement

Meetings

The Council must meet at least 4 times per year and are open to the public and are subject to Open Records requests.

*All funds received from the Campbell's Labels for Education will go toward helping out the PE Department purchase equipment and supplies. The Box Tops for Education and Tyson Project A+ donations will be used for school/classroom supplies and books by the teachers and the Media Center!
